NO SYMPATHY FOR BRITNEY
The rift between ex-lovers Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake is fast becoming a chasm.

Timberlake is said to have been embarrassed by her latest, tearful, TV interview about their relationship.

A report in the Daily Star quotes an insider as saying: "Justin has heard about Britney breaking down - and winced."

The paper claims he "cringed with embarrassment".

"He and Britney were childhood sweethearts, and that's where it ends," said the source.

"He couldn't care less about Britney getting sympathy from people after that outburst.

"For all he knows, it could have just been a stunt."

The comments follow those made in his video Cry Me A River which imply she had cheated on him.

She had been linked to married dancer Columbus Short.

At the weekend, she seemed in better spirits performing at the opening of the 31st annual American Music Awards in Los Angeles.

Britney Spears Tops Blink-182 & The Beatles

According to HitsDailyDouble.com, Britney Spears' new album 'In The Zone' is set to sell a whopping 550k in its first week and may even hit 600k, according to early reports from national accounts. The figure is enough to easy beat Blink-182's self-titled effort, which is likely to sell over 300k for the week. The Beatles' 'Let It Be... Naked' could cross the 200k threshold before the week's over. Meanwhile, Michael Jackson's 'Number Ones' is on pace for almost 100k, but his legal troubles may impact that number in either direction. podirt
